Why choose mindfulness?

beachballoonsWhy choose mindfulness?

Everything starts with awareness and intention….everything! whether we are talking about performing our jobs, maintaining our relationships, choosing our leisure time, playing a sport, or most importantly relating to our own lives; everything starts with our ability to concentrate, focus, stay present and balanced…in other words, MINDFULNESS.

We describe mindfulness as being in the present moment; paying attention, with intention, in a non-judgmental, open-hearted, wise and compassionate way. This takes instruction, practice, and commitment!

There are wonderful opportunities and modalities out there for improving your life. Go for them! But know that if you are not practicing mindfulness at the center of it, you are missing a crucial element! Perhaps you have felt at times as if you are spinning your wheels, or that nothing is working, or something is missing.

Life is precious and short! Don’t waste another day pushing the moments of your life aside, waiting for “someday”.  Someday is now! Your life is now! This moment is the only moment you actually have. Mindfulness training can show you how to stay in the moment, responding to life with open-hearted attention and intention…informed by the past, preparing for the future with wisdom and authenticity rather than reactivity!

You are invited to a summer of wellness starting with MINDFULNESS! Please visit my services and events page for May and June mindfulness opportunities and workshops. Registration is now open for the following:

Do you find yourself flitting from one thought or idea to another; feeling scattered or unorganized?

Are you overwhelmed with a “to do” list that never seems to get done?

Do you find yourself frustrated and exhausted from continuous multitasking all day long?

Do you feel like your “work self” and your “personal self” are two different people: compartmentalized and fragmented?

Are you happy?

Evidence based studies show that mindfulness can help with all of this and much more!
